A look at how software for a new manufacturing tool, which was not checked to be malware-free, got WannaCry into TSMC's fabs and shut them down for several days  —  TSMC announced this week that it suffered a computer malware outbreak, resulting in a roughly 3 day outage for parts of the fab while systems were restored.
